Our tour guide stopped by numerous locations we hadn't even thought of seeing as well as all of the big ones we were hoping for.
The road also meanders though some very rural jungle terrain which has been used for filming in several episodes of LOST, Hawaii Five-0, Jurassic World, Jumanji and more movies. Instead of having to make the hour-long drive to Kualoa Ranch on your own, you're picked up at your hotel. As I said, I really wanted to take this tour and made sure to schedule it as part of my trip itinerary.
Of course you can’t see everything in one day, but I’m very happy with what we saw. Let me say this right away. Our first stops were along the Nu'uanu Pali Drive and the Nu'uanu Trail. The guy watches the show, researches locations on his own, and adds so much to the tour inside and outside of the show. The only tour with a temple, botanical garden / waterfall walk included. Our Movie Sites and Ranch Tour will cruise you around in our vintage school bus to see filming locations for Jurassic Park, Godzilla, LOST, Hawaii Five-0, and more. Scotty was easily the most enthusiastic tour guide I've ever seen in Hawaii. The tour was in a mini-van like vehicle and it turned out my guest and I got our own personal tour :) The highlights were the Losties beach complete with set pieces, the plane fusilage, and the other's camp. We looked at various LOST tours and were unsure about which one to go with but this was definately a good pick - the tour guide picked us up in the morning and we starting touring the north, east and west shores before returning to the south late afternoon. I liked how our guide had screen captures of a lot of them so we could "link" it together. Ed is just as enthusiastic and as big a movie and As I said, up front, the 5-hour Kos Hummer Movie/Lost Adventure Tour was the most fun I've ever had in over 13 years writing about the island of Oahu. On my tour, our Hummer included our driver Scotty, a delightful young woman and huge Lost fan from Australia Tammie and a married couple Arlene and Don, who had never seen an episode of Lost.We quickly all became friends, chatting about television shows, movies, the island of Oahu, and just about anything else that came to mind. We are not tremendous Lost fans but the tour was fantastic as Dave showed us the stills on his iPad and gave us lots of inside informationI am a huge Lost fanatic, so I had the best time on the Lost circle island tour. Not just fans of Lost but for anyone who wants a good tour!I can’t get over this tour we had today, so I won’t belabor this with unnecessary length. To refresh your memories, movie clips of the various scenes shot on our 4000 acres are shown to enhance the tour. Take in the Amazing Views from the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout on Oahu It was a fantastic full day that I would recommend to anyone!! … His LOST knowledge was awesome, but even more, his knowledge about almost every single thing on the island was incredible – history, plants/animals, culture – if you can see and point to it, Dave can likely answer a question or point out fun facts/details/history about it!
